We've all felt it—that desire to tap into the real pulse of Houston's music scene. Our city is overflowing with talent, from the intimate stages of Montrose to the sprawling warehouses of the East End, but finding a clear guide through the noise can be a challenge. In Bloom was born from that challenge. We decided to build the guide that we, as passionate fans, always wanted for ourselves: a central hub dedicated to discovering and championing the vibrant alt-rock and EDM artists who call H-Town home.
We do this in two ways. First, live events that feel more like gatherings, creating a real sense of community between artists and fans. Secondly, through our digital magazine, a space for the stories behind the sound. We go deeper than a hot take, sitting down with creators and artists for thoughtful conversations about their craft and process.
In Bloom is our love letter to Houston music. It's a spotlight, a stage, and a community—and we're thrilled to have you be a part of it.
resident djs
Rooted in rhythm and recovery, Houston-based DJ and producer AMSON crafts layered, emotive soundscapes that blend house, garage, and techno. Evolving from his early days as a drummer and hip-hop producer, he found his true calling in the underground, becoming a resident at Club Clandestine and performing with collectives like In Bloom, IMAX713, and Mischief Minded. Now four years into his sobriety journey, AMSON channels that energy into sets designed to heal and connect, prioritizing presence over perfection to create nights that truly breathe and bloom.
Stinkfisstt loves bringing music to the masses though her sets. She has been at In Bloom events from the beginning, and is excited to be a resident DJ.
HETZO is an up-and-coming DJ in Houston, and is excited to be working with In Bloom to help grow the visibility of Houston's thriving music scene.

Always on the lookout for new artists and genres, Rohail admits he has a bit of a music obsession. He’s on a personal mission to listen to every song ever recorded, spanning the vast space between Beethoven, Buddy Rich, and John Summit. Music has been his constant companion through it all—the good, the bad, the wins, and the failures. A late-night realization that life is too short not to chase what he loves led Rohail back to his true passion. He envisions Houston becoming a premier destination for music, finally shaking off its reputation as the city artists skip on tour. He knows the transformation will take time, but he’s up for the challenge and is looking for others who share that same vision. For him, In Bloom is the gathering point to make it happen.
Rusic has a deep appreciation for music across all mediums, and sees In Bloom as a way to bring people together to experience the best of it.
Francisco is a photographer based in Houston, Texas, whose work has been featured in international magazines and books, most notably The New York Times. His passion for photography stems from a deep love for the arts and an appreciation for storytelling across all mediums. Beyond the lens, Francisco has directed plays and award-winning short films, and he is always eager to discuss the nuances of cinema and theatre.
Liz's expertise in social media has led her to work with places like Montrose Live. She now lends her talents to In Bloom, and hopes to see the music scene in Houston grow.
